Overview
Design Effective Incentives equips experienced HR managers with the knowledge, proper attitudes and insights into the use of variable pay, to actually achieve behavioural change that drives desired outcomes in a business setting. Starting with basics--purpose, target group, pay mix, team v individual--we delve into Victor Vrooms expectancy theory which explains the three necessary elements of a motivating incentive. We then apply the principles to the design of corporate, sales, profit sharing and gainsharing plans. The course includes generous time for breakout discussions, open discussions, question and answer and sharing of participant experiences and challenges, aiming for peer-to-peer learning.
