Overview
This intensive online masterclass provides a practical and structured approach to drafting, negotiating and managing pharmaceutical contracts in todays increasingly complex international environment. Participants will explore the evolving risk landscape, governing law and choice-of-law considerations, as well as common drafting pitfalls arising from differences between common law and civil law systems.
The programme also examines core pharmaceutical agreements and cross-border considerations, trade mark dispute settlements, effective dispute resolution and enforcement, and the negotiation of international contract clauses. Practical drafting workshops and a capstone negotiation exercise will help participants translate the legal principles into effective contract drafting and negotiation strategies.

NGL LEGAL
For nearly fifteen years he was part of what is arguably the largest biotechnology undertaking in Central and Eastern Europe. There he built the legal and compliance function from the ground up and served on the operational management team and the risk management committee. He negotiated global licensing, supply and manufacturing agreements of multi-million-euro contribution, led cross-border M&A transactions, coordinated proceedings under the US Biologics Price Competition and Innovation Act (BPCIA), and ran group-level reorganisations. He held legal responsibility for the construction and GMP qualification of large-scale biologics manufacturing facilities and supported FDA and EMA inspections. His research and policy work addresses comparative international contract law associated with pharma operations, supply chains for pharmaceuticals as well as health-system crisis preparedness - at the intersection of law, industrial policy and national security.
He is a graduate in law of the University of Warsaw (commercial law, 2002) and holds a PhD from the University of Gdańsk (commercial law and private international law, 2009), together with a postgraduate qualification in teaching methodology. He has taught for many years in parallel with his in-house practice - commercial law, company law and the law of contract - using his own method built on the analysis of real contractual structures, negotiation simulations and case studies. Member of the Polish Association of Individual Investors, the Allerhand Institute and the InSELT Institute for Strategic Governance.
NGL LEGAL
He then spent nearly 5 years within the TMIC team at the Warsaw office of an international law firm, where he continued to advance his expertise in intellectual property law. During this period, he also completed an 8-month secondment with the in-house legal team of a global media and telecommunications company. He possesses rich, practical experience in conducting comprehensive trademark availability searches, managing registration and contentious proceedings before IP offices (national
IP offices, EUIPO, WIPO), as well as successfully negotiating coexistence agreements and settlements.
In his practice, Michał focuses on implementing strategic mechanisms and solutions that enable entrepreneurs to effectively safeguard their intellectual property and proactively prepare for potential acts of unfair competition. He works closely with clients from the creative industries, whose market position heavily relies on the effective protection of industrial property rights and copyright. Over the years, he has successfully advised both domestic and international companies operating in the energy, IT, gaming, pharmaceutical, luxury goods, automotive, and space sectors.
