Trainer
Joshi Vasa
Joshi Vasa
Supervisor - Cell Based Assays
Charlesriver Laboratories
Joshi is an experienced biologist with over 19 years in the pharmaceutical industry, specializing in bioassays, biosafety, and immunogenicity studies. With a focus on in vitro immunogenicity, Joshi has consulted for several major firms such as Galenicum , Adalvo, Slayback Pharma, and others, helping them design and implement studies to assess the immune response triggered by complex biologics, peptides, and biosimilars. Successfully filed many molecules to different geograhical origins from US, Europe, UK etc for companies like Dr. Reddys labs etc. His expertise includes
both in vitro and in silico immunogenicity analyses, focusing on the immune recognition of biotherapeutics, which is critical for the safety and efficacy of drugs entering the market. At Charles River Laboratories, he currently leads a team conducting biosafety and cell-based assays, ensuring GMP quality standards. Joshi is also involved in CRO management and project management, providing strategic advice on bioassay development and validation, regulatory compliance, and quality audits, making him a pivotal figure in immunogenicity testing. Joshis extensive experience spans from high-throughput screening and automation to in-depth immune system analysis, ensuring biologics safety. His mission is to advance biotechnology and medicine by identifying and mitigating potential immunogenic responses, ensuring therapeutic efficacy and patient safety.
